Cargocare commenced trading in Dublin, Ireland in 1983.
The company’s initial focus was the operation of overnight Groupage Freight Services between the UK and Ireland. This was at a time when customs regulations were in operation between Ireland and the UK and to facilitate customs clearance on site at its own premises in Dublin the company operated a customs approved Inland Clearance Depot (ICD) at Airways Industrial Estate.
Post Brexit, we have perhaps returned to our roots, again providing comprehensive Customs Clearance Services and operating our Customs Bonded Facility. We are very pleased to have achieved full AEOF accreditation from Customs in respect of our customs services.
The company developed a national distribution service to support its UK – Ireland freight services and to provide distribution services to international freight operators servicing Ireland, but not wishing to cover all areas of the country themselves. This distribution service covers all areas of Ireland, including Northern Ireland, on a daily basis.
